Where is Michael Ibert?
My Last Contact: It was when he visited me at my duplex apartment in Austin, Texas for dinner in or near 1979. Our bond of friendship was very positive. I never saw or heard from him again.
Last Seen by Anyone: Just when I saw him myself and we talked for a couple or few hours. I had made dinner: cornish game hen.
Message to Michael:
Eebert, (what I always called you), I have never forgotten you and have hoped beyond hope that you got out of that mind, soul and body trap called Scientology. You were such a light in my life at a time when I really needed a friend, back when I was feeling so lost, alone and afraid in this life. We did not hang out together for a very long time — just months or weeks? — almost always behind the house we called “611,” making stained glass boxes in the “barn.” I remember that you always lit up when I would arrive, and welcomed me with enthusiasm to which I was totally unaccustomed. It was for me a hope and a light I was not feeling or seeing anywhere else in my life, and your positive spirit was a significant light in my life that gave me hope. I never told you how much that meant to me at a time I was so very afraid in and of the world. I hope you got away from that terrible machine call Scientology. You never deserved to have to go through that!
